Surprise

• Work has not picked up, it slowed down even more. Kids are back in "school" so parent's are not bringing the kids to the mall. Tuesdays at the mall are the worst because even when it isn't a nightmare it's the slowest day of the week normally.
• I got a call yesterday that i didn't answer because i was working and i normally don't answer calls that i don't know who is calling. yesterday i didn't get a voicemail. This morning i got a voicemail marked that it was from yesterday (my phone LIES). I applied for a job to drive for O'Reilly's auto parts. At first i got an email saying that they filled the position and they didn't need me at all. It surprised me when i got the voicemail this morning. I called back and they said they were in deseprite need of people to work for the store near the mall. He set the interview up for tomorrow at 9am.  We'll just have to see how it is going to go tomorrow.
  

Kommandant's Birthday and work

•  Kommandant's birthday was yesterday, he got a couple of gifts that he really enjoyed. I really wanted to get him a new phone, but he didn't want to get one (in the past he has said that he wanted to upgrade because he has an older phone and wouldn't mind getting the newer one). Since he didn't want a new phone i then thought he would enjoy a new iPad. we were looking at Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Fred Meyers (Apple is currently closed and we don't know when it is coming back) everywhere is out of the one he wants. Fred Meyers had 2 but Kommandant didn't want one of those because he wanted the one with bigger memory for the same price as the one we found. So we are going to wait till closer to Christmas (Black Friday) to see sales of the iPads (Maybe both of us upgrading the iPads)
  

•  We did gaming and cake at the store after work. He had a good time, a bunch of his friends showed up. Kommandant didn't come back home till 1 in the morning.
  

• Work has been painfully slow. Customers are not coming into the store and when they do they don't buy anything. they just want to look around (because their person is in another store and they don't want to be with them) and touch board games. Customer also come into the store and ask if we have any specials going on (i get that people don't have a lot of money because just like them i am not working a lot and don't have money to just spend on anything i want).
  

The Weekend Away & Monday

-We spent the weekend camping at Nat Soo Pah camp ground and hot spring. Getting there was a little bit of a challenge. We decided to bring Pink Bird with us, with that we had to arrange the car for 3 people and not the normal 2 plus 2 dogs. Poor Kommandant he had to sit in the back on a bunch of stuff and he had the dogs with him (they didn't want to be in the front with Pink Bird and me).

-It was nice being there with the family, only 2 sisters came out of 6 siblings. Kommandant's Mom and older sister stayed in a hotel in Jackpot so they were only there for the days and when night was close they would leave for the hotel.

-Kommandant's Mom is done with tent camping, she just cant handle the air mattresses and having to get up and down all night. So she is giving us first dibs on her camping items. There are a couple of items that i really want from her (she would always bring them so we didn't have to purchase them).

-Everyone in the family loved Pink Bird. I thought we introduced her to everyone but we did not. When we were leaving to go home everyone asked how she was related to us. If we decide to take Pink Bird again everyone would love to see her again.

-We got home pretty early on Sunday, we had enough time to go to storage and drop the camping stuff back off. i had to take Pink Bird home and while I was out I grabbed a coffee. When I got home and Kommandant saw he asked if I got him one, I said nope but you can have the rest of mine (which was 2/3rds full). He finished it while I showered and started to relax from the weekend.

-Once i stopped moving my body decided that it was done with everything. I got really really tired and couldn't focus on anything. I was doing laundry going, had to do 3 loads and Kommandant's blanket. I was afraid to wash it because it's old and I didn't know if the washer could handle it. I asked Knittech before washing it and she said that it was fine.

-Kommandant was playing his game from the time I dropped Pink Bird off till I needed help with folding and putting away the clothing. I just could not focus long enough to do anything so Kommandant had to do it. By bed time once i was ready to fall asleep that was it for me. I didn't notice Kommandant get up and let the dogs out or the cat yelling to be let in or out.

-Kommandant set up a breakfast with a friend this morning. I really didn't want to get up that early but i did because i really wanted breakfast and coffee. Kommandant left me at the house because i was busy talking with Grilltech. I was maybe 7 minutes late, but it didn't matter because our friend wasn't there when i got there. It was odd that he wasn't there because he normally is early for everything. so Kommandant and i had a couple cups of coffee while we were waiting and he still didn't show. at 9 i made Kommandant call to make sure everything was okay and our friend didn't answer the first phone call. Kommandant called till he got an answer and our friend wasn't coming to breakfast. so Kommandant and I had a nice breakfast together this morning.

-I made it to work and realize i forgot my pineapple that i was looking forward to eating for lunch today. I texted Grilltech to find it (i didn't remember where i put it) and put it back in the fridge so i could take it tomorrow.

New Year

 Good Afternoon,

-Work-

• Things have changed a little since that last post. Job is still the same (which is good) but i don't think i am as happy as i could be.
• it could be just the Pandemic and the feeling like i'm not going anywhere.
• The Pandemic hit and the Owner has been doing things that i think aren't fair. He took scheduling, payroll, and my authority (i feel) away till things get back to somewhat normal. the mall has been on restricted hours (11-7).
• the owner wants 1 person doing the jobs and i understand about the payroll, but the person that is doing the schedule doesn't work in the stores and i just want to be able to do something other than talking to customers.
• my authority i feel that i don't have any because i don't see my employees and i just work to be the main person in the store during the week.

-Personal-

• Last weekend we Visited Kommandant's Mom.
• she was happy we were there and we didn't spend enough time there (Saturday 1AM - Monday 2PM)
• she wants us to move there and be with Kommandant's Family.
• Personally i don't think that is going to happen. Kommandant and i have our lives here. My Family, Our Friends are all here. i know we could always make more friends there and we would have his family there and we could spend more (than we do now) with them. but i don't want to move away from everything i know.
• i have taken up the Shuttle Tatting again.
• i found a pattern that i really like. I'm turning it into a doily that I'm going to put it on the table where Grilltech sits.

I'm Still Alive!!!!

Let’s see what has changed since the last time that I have posted (since it’s been more than a year!).

I Got a New Job after some Drama from the last one. I am now a Store Manager of a store. I get to do a lot more things and I have more responsibility’s that I get to handle. I have days where I miss what I did but they pass because I am way happier doing what I am doing now.

            Currently I am having issues with trying to get people to do what I would like for them to do. Some of it is employees under me and some of it is people above me. For the last 2 weeks I have had to change the store manual because it was written very fast and things were running together and not making much sense. So, I changed it all and make it more user friendly. Before I changed the manual, I asked every employee if they had an issue with it and if there were changes that they would like to see changed. I had 2 employees say yes and give me examples of things that I could work on so that I could make it better. I had 1 employee not really give me any input on it and that she didn’t really see any issue with it.

            During the last week or so we have had some changes happen. There was 1 employee from my store quit & one employee from Kommandant’s store get fired (I really don’t know the details of that one). With this thing are changing schedule wise and how much Kommandant, the General Manager & I have to work till we find someone to hire for the hours that we are hiring for. The General Manager has asked for me to change my schedule, as of the 18^th I am going to be pulling 3 open to closes and then 1 day where I am working maybe 5 to 6 hours. This is because they felt that having staff come in for an hour and a half was unreasonable and that they couldn’t get anyone who wanted to work these shifts because it was such a waste of time before I changed my schedule I made sure that everyone was okay with it. all the staff that agreed to it has either quit or gotten fired. Now we have new staff and it is just easier for me the change my schedule and have the new staff be happy. Another thing that is going to be changing on the 18^th is that my favorite employee that I have shown how to do things and that has been working hard is going to Kommandant’s store and I get to keep one employee (everyone loves but me) that I wasn’t too impressed with. I have asked the General Manager if we could get more training hours because they are going to be needed for when I am not here, the employee is going to be on their own and they are going to need to receive freight and or do things that they really don’t know how to do or not really wanting to learn at the time.

            I just have to except that I get to keep someone that I am not impressed with and I am definitely not happy that I am losing my best employee, but the best employee is going to be used for different things. I just need to except this fate and try to get this employee to the steps of where I want her to be.

            Today I am a little upset that I have to receive a bunch of things that one store has had for 5 to 6 years and they couldn’t sell and now I get to try to sell things that are really old, and they look like it. (I’m going to see if I could get them discounted so that customer want to get them. I also asked for a change request and I didn’t get it because the General Manager is just too busy doing her stuff that she doesn’t have time to take care of her other stores. About 3:45 I was told that she would try to do it, but it is 7:00 and it hasn’t happened, I wasn’t told that ‘oops I didn’t have time’ or ‘Hey I ended up not having time to do the change request and I will get to it tomorrow.’ Things need to change for this or it’s just going to get old and I am going to stop requesting help for the store and doing things my way (but then I am going to have to answer to the ‘well why were things done this way and not this other way?’ and I am going to say is ‘ I can’t get anyone out here to help out and I needed to put X in place and since no one is willing to answer me I did it that way’.)

            I’m going to leave it at this and have a good day away from work.

Life

On march 16th the techs and I were suppose to go to Seattle and see the red hot chili peppers, that's not what happened. I went into surgery to remove a cyst that was attached to my left ovary.

The surgery went well, there wasn't any complications. The cyst was 6 liters (gallon and a half) of liquid, and it was 30cm (a foot) big.

About 5 days later I went to the doctor to get my staples out. I had 19 all together (The nurse left 1 in. She didn't see it when she was removing the others). About 2 weeks went by and I was healing along and then my wound was leaking some red and yellow liquid (it didn't smell). I was freaking out because I wasn't sure if that was normal or not. Kommandant told me I had to call the doctor and find out if I needed to go to the emergency room. They told me to place a pad on it and then come in on Monday.

Went in on Monday and got to talk to the doctor. She looked at it and the wound was healing from the outside in. So the liquid was normal. The wound had healed at the very top and the middle. The only parts that didn't was the upper middle part and the very bottom (it was like a drain). Kommandant went with me and she poked around inside of my wound to open it up and then packed it up with this packing strips. Kommandant got to pack my wound 2 times a day (I am so lucky to have someone to do that to me.).

They told me to get up and moving so that I can build my stamina up. So about two times a day either Knittech or Kommandant would walk me around the block. We started off with the small block which took so much out of me each time we would walk it. 

About week 4 Kommandant didn't have to pack the wound any more. We did have to put a pad over it because I was still having a little leakage. Week 5 came and went and we stopped putting a pad down so that it could have all the air it wanted. Week 6 came and that's when I was sleeping and I scratched my scar in the middle and opened it up. I'm waiting for that to heal and I'm doing everything in my power from not scratching it.

We had the last doctors appointment on week 6 and she said that everything looks great and that it is 100% healed. I still have scabs on it and I have the middle part to heal. But I'm happy that it is done and over with.
